It's Friday

Friday is always a good day. Today is no exception. I just had a story accepted for Black Ink Horror, after a significant rewrite with Tim Manning's help, and a poem accepted for Sinister Tales. And Bits & Pieces comes out on Monday. What a way to end the work week!

"Bits & Pieces" out soon

My chapbook of horror poems, "Bits & Pieces," will be available April 30th from Spec House of Poetry. Check out their store -- there are a lot of other good titles there as well.

April 30th is also the deadline for submitting humorous horror and science fiction haiku and senryu for Sam's Dot Publishing's Hahaku anthology, so be sure and get your poems in.

"Hayride" in Goblin Reader

My short horror story, "Hayride," will appear in Goblin Reader, a magazine in book format that showcases three or four authors per issue, with bios and handwritten notes and publication history. It sounds pretty cool. I can't wait to see who else is in it. It will be available from Lulu.com, probably in the next month or so. I'll post more information when it's available. If anyone is interested in submitting, their website is http://www.goblinreader.com/goblin.html.

Upcoming poems

One of my poems, "The Last Tollbooth," will be in Black Petals #39, due out April 15th. Unless Mr. Crist can find a replacement editor, Black Petals will be shut down in about a year. If you're interested in helping out (and able to), get in touch with the man himself. Here's the information:

Also, I just found out Writers' Journal accepted one of my poems for a future issue, which (I think) is pretty cool. I've got some other poems slated for upcoming issues of Scifaikuest, Vacuum Genesis, and Star*Line.

If anyone's actually reading this, leave some comments and share your news, too.
